Question: wife, age 69 has AFib, diabetes, liver transplant 12 yrs ago. all of a sudden sitting at home, feels uncomfortable in chest with discomfort going up into her jaw, pressure across chest, nausea. bp 188/88, pulse 57. in A Fib she has gone to pulse rate of as high as 180 so we feel that this is not A Fib. takes kumadin and lots of other bp meds and insulin

I think you need to take her to the emergency department immediately. She's having symptoms which are concerning for possible heart attack.

Her very elevated pulse is also extremely concerning.this needs to be evaluated as soon as possible by your local doctor. They can give her medication to help control her heart rate and help to rule out a possible heart attack.

Again please take her to the local emergency department as soon as possible.
