What Causes Sporadic Blood In Stool, Weakness And Diarrhea?

default
Posted on Tue, 3 Nov 2015
Question: I have been having faintness and blood in my stool for the past three weeks. It comes sporadic, however for the last few months I've been having faintness and then diarrhea. The blood in stool is new. Any advice on what this could be? The faintness/shaky feeling is very scary and passes after bowel movement.

Brief Answer:
IBD should be rule out....

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!

I read carefully all your concerns and I understood your query.

You are reporting to have diarrhea, blood in stools and faintness.

The first thing that you should rule out is IBD ( inflammatory bowel disease).

This is why I strongly recommend doing:

- Stool lactoferrin test

- Colonoscopy

- PCR

Otherwise, there are other diagnosis that can explain your symptoms like:

- vasovagal syncope after defecation. It is a situation where bowel spasms triggers vagal nerve and low blood pressure experiencing by you as faintness.

- hemorrhoids or anal fissure can explain blood in your stools.

Meantime I suggest to :

- use plenty of water

- avoid spicy and sugar foods

- use probiotics

- take

Hi back

Sorry for my last sentences. I would like to say 'take rest".
You are faintness because you are tired and mild dehydrated.

With regards to pro-biotic OTC you can use Bio-kult 1-2 capsules per day.

Wish you fast recovery
