Question: Hello,
I have been getting craps in my feet (when curling toes) and in my forearms and calves as well. I have type 2 diabetes is this related?

More info Thyroid all but small portion removed, Cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy. Currently bulging disk in thoracic & neck. High blood pressure on med controlled.
The cramps last a bit of time and will cramp um if muscle is tightened up.

Brief Answer:
Check the minerals:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!

Usually the cramps caused by diabetes are located in the legs.

In your case, they seem to be generalized so the most probable cause would be mineral depletion. Too little potassium, calcium or magnesium in your diet can contribute to leg cramps. So you should check these elements in blood.

Diuretics — medications often prescribed for high blood pressure — also can deplete these minerals.
Supplements of Vit B complex are suggested for a symptomatic relief until you get the result of the above mentioned elements.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
