What Causes Severe Itchy Rashes On Scrotum And Underarm?
Question: Dear Doctor,
I’m suffering from tremendous itch and rash on scrotum, leg pits and under arm.
I took 1) iTyza 100 tablets (ones a day) for around 28 days
2) also apply canesten cream / fourderm cream to the affected area.
3) Use candid and Canesten powder.
4)use Keto / Candid soap twice a day.
5) Take Zocon 150 Tablet once a week from 3 weeks
But still the itch and rashes are there.
Request you to kindly guide me.

I have gone through the details. It seem that you have received adequate treatment which should have given you response had it been due to a fungal cause. The other significant possibility that could be the cause of your complaints, is scabies. It is an infection of scabies mites which burrow under your skin. In such a case you would need to apply Ascabiol lotion neck downward all over the body at bedtime and then scrub it off with soap in the morning, along with discarding (for wash) the night clothes as well as bedsheets. The process needs to be repeated on three consecutive days and should be done for your partner or room mates who could also be harbouring the infection.
You might like to get it cross checked by your dermatologist before you opt for the treatment I mentioned.
