What Causes Severe Itching In Pelvic Region, Scrotum And Penis?
Question: Doctor, i have severe itching in pelvic region,scrotum ,and penis and has developed rashes on it.Urologist says that i have a fungal infection and has advised flucos 150 ,avil and zole f cream for 5 days . i have started the medication from yesterday ,but still my itching and rashes remain. please comment .

You seem to have developed a fungal infection in the area.
You have been rightly prescribed by your treating doctor for the same .
You can continue the medicines as told.
In addition,take some oral antihistamines like Benadryl or levocetrizine along to relieve the associated itching and allergy .
Wear cotton undergarments so as to decrease sweating and prevent further infection.
Use clotrimazole powder over the skin folds twice daily to prevent recurrence.
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area.
Avoid agents like dettol or savlon .

Thank you so much doctor. What is this condition called ,can i use clotrimazole powder regularly ,as i sweat profusely.How much will it take to get cured completely.Is itch guard an alternate for clotrimazole powder.
