default
Posted on Wed, 18 May 2016
Question: My friend has seen multiple Drs. Some of her symptoms are: SEVERE headache. This is constant. Elevated liver enzymes, and there are days when her skin has a yellowish cast, elevated WBC (10), elevated ESR, metallic taste in her mouth, and she has begun to bruise easily. She is extremely fatigued. Hair loss. Drs have been no help, and so far have treated her symptoms, and done the testing. This has been going on for nearly 7 weeks.

Brief Answer:
Please give some more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Her symptoms indicate some serious disease. Liver cirrhosis is possible. Can you please attach liver tests (especially bilirubin level, AST,ALT, GGTP,AP) and abdominal ultrasound?
What is her urine and stool color? Does she have distended abdomen?

I`m looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Thyroid tests should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Being hones her blood work is almost fine. Liver tests are only slightly elevated and for sure liver is not the problem. She has no jaundice either.
The most probable reason of her symptoms is thyroid issue (hypothyroidism). High blood pressure can be the reason of headache.
It would be advisable for her to have thyroid tests done as a next step.
