What Causes Severe Headache After Travelling?

Question: Sir,
Am suffering from severe head ache since last 3 years.am not having it regularly,usually am having the head ache after a journey,not all the time,but i noticed this particular issue.Now pain killers seems to be of no use. Its too hard to sleep when am having the head ache,but a full night sleep is the only remedy that works. I didn't consulted a doctor yet,just because am not having this regularly,But now the frequency is increased a bit.Please help me on this

I share your concern I will definitely help you in best possible way but before that u need more information for proper assessment of the problem like
type of headache, is it constant or comes in episodes
Nature of pain like throbbing or constricting pain
any associated complaints like giddiness, vision problem or uneasiness
frequency of headache (how many times in a day or week)

Looking at your description it seems to be treatable condition so you need not to worry until a diagnosis establishes.

thanks for your reply,
head ache is like varying intense pain.,when it is triggered, its there, but the intensity changes,usually i felt like the pain is on the left side of the scalp. not an exact point, but genera on left side.
as i said, this annoying head ache usually get triggered by a comparably long journy(around 60 km or above) regardless of the vehicle used, another suspect i noticed is the exposure to humid heat.
i didn't had any problems with the vision,but i do felt like am more sensitive to light when i have the head ache, also i felt like am going to omit, but not yet.
at the earlier stages, i was having this one or twice per month. but now the frequency had changed like one or two per weak.

Looking at detailed description I would advise you for the baseline investigations to rule out the common causes of such headache like blood profile for hemoglobin, CBC, Live function test and kidney function test blood suage and electrolytes and an MRI with MRV

Since I can't physically examine you to get more clues so I would advise you to consult a neurologist for detailed clinical examination and and all the investigations

Meanwhile please follow these guidelines
Have plenty of fluids during or before commencement of journey
Sit comfortably preferably with an open window.
Sit straight and on the front seat of the vehicle
Indulge yourself into listening music or something.
Don't put much strain your eyes
Have healthy food like more of fruits and vegetables
No smoking and drinking

what should i do to get ride of this heavy pain when i have it,, shall i take a pain killer or what,, if yes,, preferably which one.. please help

If I were your treating doctor I would have advised you to take Acetaminophen with ibuprofen combination drugs and anti acidity medicine like pantoprazole.

In my opinion you should go for investigations so that an exact cause of headache can be establishes.
