What Causes Secretion From The Prostate?

Question: On March 20th I was at work and I went to the bathroom in the early morning. As I was urinating I noticed this long 3 1/2 inch white mucus looking stuff came out within the stream. Never hurt and that was the only time I saw it rest of that day. Night before I was super stressed out by my girl friend while we drank a lot of alcohol. Naturally I freaked out and got into the doctor's office later that day. I did a urine test with STD check and full urine check. The doctor felt around and did not see or feel any problems. The doctor wasn't concerned about it being an STD. He was more worried about my mental status. I was and still am under tons of stress; Relationship troubles, a friend who passed away all of sudden, new highly stressful job, house buying, and troubles from my military past (Iraq and Afghanistan). I was getting to the points of deep depression and high strung stress levels. The doctor said what I saw looks to be stress related. In my urine cup I noticed a white stringy floater floating around. I pointed it out to him also. He said not to worry about it. The results came back negative and normal. I was sexual active the two months prior without protection which had me concerned. Four days later, the 24th, in the morning once again, I notice just a little bit of discharge of similar looks. The night prior I was under a lot of stress and was really besides myself. After that I haven't see anything besides a little white stringy floaters in my urine and my stress levels dropped. It doesn't hurt when I pee, no back pain, when I masturbate it doesn't hurt, and nothing visible on my penis. Only time it did hurt was three separate times was right after I urinated the first time in the morning which was around those two incidents. Little burning irritation which went away 2-3 minutes later. Then 2-3 times a day for 2-3 weeks I would get like a pinching feeling on the tip of my penis. Like an aching pain else where in the body. With that I deal with IBS and have horrible gas pains, diarrhea, or stools with mucus on it. I would get that pain on the tip and then seconds later I get horrible gas pains and pass gas. I asked a question to another doctor on here whom I was asking the same questions about this situation. He said this is all stress related pains and my IBS. Soon after I read that, the pain went away. He was helpful. I was advise to drink a lot more water which I did and it cleared up a lot better. A month later, today I noticed again of a mucus looking string 3 1/2 inches long and little discomfort half way when I urinated, but not as bad as the first time. I emptied my bladdered just fine after the little discomfort point of time. Which again was in the morning time at work. Just as the same issues, my stress level was getting high again and I noticed I wasn't drinking enough water. I sit down at work for a better part of my 8 hour days. So my question is that I am curious to what I am seeing? I had tests done and which was normal and negative. I have no fevers, don't feel sick, no pain urinating (Besides today), no back pain, masturbate fine, and no discharge. Just tons of stress and depression. I know adding possible health issues doesn't help the mind either. Is my mind playing tricks with me? Just curious to what I am seeing and feeling. Thank you for your time and help.

Brief Answer:
Secretion from prostate plus seminiferous tubes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I went through the whole query along with my XXXXXXX Urologist. He was dictating while I type my answer.

The one which you saw was a secretion from prostate plus semeniferous tubules in men. It is something like semen. Semen in usually contained in the first early morning urine sample. Sometimes we notice it and sometimes not. It is very common and extremely normal to have it. If you are stressful you tend to look even the normal things like a malady. since it is not an illness all your tests were normal and you do not produce any symptoms.

If you still doubt it you can give the early morning urine sample for test and ask for semen testing, it proves positive 99% times.

Hope this helps, if you can have further my professor Urologist can answer you.
