Brief Answer:
Respiratory infection are self limiting

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Mr XXXX,

As your XXXXXXX is otherwise active and playful there is no cause for concern. Majority of respiratory infection are viral in origin and are self limiting. They require symptomatic treatment and antibiotic are not recommended.

I would advise the following measures

1. Steam inhalation: Preferably using electronic steamer, maintain safe distance from baby. Hot and humid air will be helpful in relieving congestion.

2. Normal Saline Nasal drops: 3-4 drops into each nose 5-6 times a day

3. Solvincold AF drops: It will b helpful in relieving congestion and reducing symptoms

4. Apply Vicks Vaporub over the clothes and a very little over the nose

Wishing your XXXXXXX speedy recovery.

Thank you very much for your response.

We given nasal drops, solvincold AF drops one time tonight. We applied vicks vaporub. We are observing her from morning, she is bit dull from evening and trying to vomit. Due to cold, she has breathing blockage and she is not sleeping comfortably.

After giving the prescription, her running nose is now bit thick. Also her body temperature is normal but we see bit heating temperature near around stomach.

Kindly let us know is 2ml solvincold AF drops is ok? and how many times a day we need to give this. We will observer her, kindly let us know is this normal or we need to consult a doctor immediately.

Once again thank you for your quick response

Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Warmthness on stomach is okay

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXXXXX

Mild heating around the stomach is normal and there is no cause for concern.
If the following criteria are fulfilled there is no cause for concern

1. Baby accepting feeds well
2. Temperature below 100F
3. Respiration is quite and normal: Movement of chest is normal and not hurried. Respiratory rate should be less than 40 per minute
4. baby sleeps well after feeds

Vomiting is sometimes seen due to post nasal drip. It should settle down. Solvincold Af 2ml three times a day will be sufficient.

I would also suggest the following

1.Decoction: 1 cup of milk+ 20 Tulsi leaves + 1/2 spoon of turmeric + 2 spoon sugar. Bring it to boil. Filter it and feed the baby warm. Give it 2-3 times a day

2. Normal Saline Nebulization: If you have Nebulizer at home , you can give Normal Saline nebulisation

If there is high fever, hurried breathing, baby refuses feeds then do consult your Pediatrician for clinical examination and assessment.

Wishing your XXXXXXX speedy recovery.

Thank you for your reply. Last night she not slept properly, early morning we consulted Pediatrician, she examined my baby. My baby temperature was 102 and she said nothing to worry and my baby will get alright in a day or two. She prescribed babygesic and cyclopam suspension. We given both the medicine and nasal drops. Avoid oily and cold food. There is no particular diet restriction. Giving warm food like Soups will be very helpful.
