Question: Hi,

My wife recently got her nose pierced for nose rings in July mid. It has been couple of months now and her nose still becomes red and hurts sometimes. Whenever it hurts, she cleans and here seems to be some pus when she cleans it.

Can you please suggest some remedy or medicine for the same

Brief Answer:
Advised anti inflammatory medication.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

It could be due to persistent infection present as there is pus discharge.
I would suggest to remove the nose ring till the wound is completely healed.
Clean with plain water, XXXXXXX dry and apply Neosporin ointment thrice a day.
Anti inflammatory medications with serratiopeptidase combination twice a day for 5 days. It is available over the counter.

I would like to know if she is taking any medications for this?

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.
