Brief Answer:
sinusitis with post nasal drip

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This may be due to sinusitis. Sinusitis causes a post nasal drip.

Post nasal drips cause a person to repeatedly clear the throat and may also cause inflammation of the throat. Blood occurs as a result of the inflammation to the surfaces in the throat.

Tinnitis (abnormal noises in the ear such as the ringing) can also occur in sinusitis.

Some persons may have intermittent sore throat, hoarseness and coughing.

It is most commonly provoked by an allergen. I have a patient who gets a reaction with bananas.

It may be caused by foods/drinks/dust/pollen etc

Avoiding the allergen , if it is known would help along with topical steroid nasal sprays and oral anti histamines.

The sprays go to the back of the throat to decrease the drip.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

gargling may sometimes help
