What Causes Persistent Pain In Right Flank, Back And Abdomen?

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Mar 2016
Question: I have had right flank, back ,abdominal pain for almost a month. No temp, all labs normal, KUB normal, abdominal/lower pelvic CT scan normal. Have been to Urgent care, ER, Orthopedic dr and Urologist. Ortho put me on Prednisone dose pack thinking there was some inflammatory process going on, which I completed last Monday. Urologist did Cystoscopy w/ Retrograde pyelogram, essentially normal. He biopsied 2 small areas which he also removed and showed no malignancy, bladder washings showed "atypical cells" but no malignancy. Have had + blood in urine on micro since this started but nothing visible except one time tea colored urine. This am had tea colored urine again and just now had obvious Hematuria...not bright cherry, more like color of red delicious apple , still have R flank pain. When I saw Urologist Friday for test results he suggested following up with Ortho and possible MRI, appt tomorrow....any insight/suggestions as to what else to do? Any possible causes related to meds?
