What Causes Persistent Headache While Sleeping?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 May 2016
Question: I am a homemaker in XXXXXXX area, near XXXXXXX where I moved around 1.5 years back since my marriage.
From last 3-4 months, I am having headache as well as issues while getting sleep. The headache is very frequent. Sometimes it is for the entire day and sometimes for few hours. When the headache is high I take Saridon.

I generally go to bed around 12 in night, I try to sleep but it take at least 45 minutes to fall asleep. That also is not sound sleep, I wake up at 6.30 am but before that around 5.30 it is like I need to wake up, the alarm will ring and all those stuffs come to my mind after that I cant sleep again. I just lie there in half
sleep stage.
I rarely take any nap throughout the day as well. I am also not doing any kind of physical exercise during the day.

Brief Answer:
4 months, get investigated

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Please mention the type or nature of the headache.
Since the headache is there for 3-4 months, it is prudent to have a clinical evaluation and Neurological and ENT examination to confirm or rule out the causes.
This should be assisted by MRI of the brain with angiography.
This way alone can help us to pin-point the cause of your headache either by confirming or ruling out the a particular cause.
A proper diagnosis alone can lead to the proper management.

Secondly, stress due to family problems or otherwise can be one of the leading causes for such headaches in young women. Only if all the investigations are normal that we can say this as a cause and get managed accordingly.
Well prepared adjustments can help a lot to settle the issues as well as give better sleep, which in turn helps to reduce the stress and the headache.
I hope this answer helps you to get an early diagnosis and proper management.
