Brief Answer:
Occasionally, if can be negative

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Symptoms are classical for urinary tract infection.
2. Few times, urine examination and even culture can come negative, when the bacterial counts is low or if patient is on treatment when urine sample was taken or if it is low grade infection.
3. As she is on antibiotics, it will help her in recovery. Additionally, more fluids intake and berries juice like cranberry and blue berries will be helpful.
4. Regular urination on urge and avoiding holding urine, complete urine clearance from bladder will reduce future risk.

Hope it helps.
