Brief Answer:
We have to rule out thyroid problems, GERD and post nasal drops need to addressed

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.

It is difficult to comment without examination. if i had examined your neck. I would have checked for any swelling of the gland and the structures in and around the neck.

If I would have got something I would have asked for ultrasound initially and then if required fine needle aspiration cytology.

I would ask you to stand in front of the mirror and check for any swelling or you can ask some one else to check for any changes.
But it would be better if you can visit local doctor and get it examined.

One of the common cause of your symptom is related to thyroid. So I would ask you to go for thyroid function test. It is done in most of the labs, you can enquire about it with near by lab.

Other options include GERD, and as you have mentioned about the post nasal drip, it can also be responsible for your symptom.
I would insist you to take steam inhalation with few drops of eucalyptus oil in it, three to four times a day. Water in the form of vapor would reach deep inside and would help in diluting the secretions and would thus provide relief. You can use saline nasal drops which will be beneficial. Also take some antiallergic like cetirizine once daily for the next few days.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.

Take care.
