Brief Answer:
I have listed a few causes and investigations to find the cause sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Well I would like you to first know that pain for a post-menopausal woman of her age can arise due to various reasons, and this will require some investigation to find the exact cause in order to treat it. But as requested I shall try to put down a list of most likely causes, and later on a list of investigations that should help to find the cause.

The possibilities include:

+Arthritis or osteoarthritis: Can be confirmed by blood investigations and x-ray of the affected joint
+Osteoporosis: Will require bone density scan and x-ray of the affected region
+Elevated serum uric acid: Simple blood test to check uric acid levels will help diagnose this
+Gout: High uric acid levels and an x-ray will help diagnose this
+Osteophytes or bone spurs: X-ray of the affected region will help diagnose this
+Spinal abnormality: Some spinal abnormalities (e.g. stenosis, disk bulge, herniated disc, etc.); will require an MRI of the spine

I have listed both the most likely causes and how we can go about finding the cause. If at all a diagnosis is not suspected, then we can go through all the investigations one-by-one and hope they can help find the cause.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help sir.

Best wishes.
