What Causes Pain In Head And Neck Along With Dizziness?
Question: hi i am XXXXXXXX ..
i am 35 years old male.
since two months i am suffering from various physical illness like back aches & joint aches& pain in head at one side. various test have been conducted & Nothing found ,except slight increase in Uric acid.
since a month back i am suffering from pain at one part of the body means head shoulder & knee side pain ,also neck gets stiffened & makes pain.
one doctor given the Anti depressive medicines & it suits me well.
i am taking these medicines since 15 days .but when i stopped to take that medicines ,again i am facing the same problem of head pain ,neck pain & dizziness,(sometimes vertigo also observed)
Please suggest the proper treatment for my disease ,as i am living in taluka place.
(Previous history: bells palsy 2 year back,cervical spondylysis on e year back,migrain while studying)

Well looking into your query I would like to tell you that whatever history you give features are suggestive of Fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome plus all your tests are also normal so that also makes the former most probabale diagnosis. Amitryptyline is the drug of choice for that and treatment needs to be continued for long before any relief .
But metabolic cause also needs to be ruled out , thyroid status , calcium , Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 levels needs to be done . Plus i will also suggest you to improve your sleep pattern which happens to be the most important intervention in your disease . If you have sound sleep all this fatigue and pains will go away. Any concerns I will be happy to answer.
