Brief Answer:
She is probably having corneal burn.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that your wife is probably having corneal epithelial defect because of exposure to hot steam.

I would like to treat this condition by the use of antibiotic eye drops like Moxifloxacin and artificial tears eye drops like Refresh tears. She can take an analgesic and pain killer tablet for pain relief. This will provide immediate symptomatic relief.

Since this looks like involving the cornea you require to consult your eye doctor for examination to assess the severity and treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
