What Causes Nausea And Diarrhea While On Requip For RLS?
Question: Hi Doctor. I am a 29 year old law student female. I have anxiety and depression, and am on 60 mg of Cymbalta as well as 25mg of Requip for Resltess leg. I also suffer from chronic migraines and take 25 mg of Topomax 2x/day. This has really helped reduce their daily occurence.
I have been having very bad nausea and diarrhea almost daily. I have been on my medication for over 3 months, but have only been on Requip for a little over a month. My resltess legs are unbearable, and I have heard it can cause queasiness if you don't take it with food. I have ensured I consume the medication with food, and at night, but I still experience RLS and stomach pain/nausea almost daily.
Could my symptoms be a side effect of all my medications? I feel like a lab rat and just want to be healthy again. Thank you Doctor, and I appreciate your time and atteniton hereto.

I personally do not use Requip with my patients because the side effects are often intolerable. Your nausea and diarrhea could be entirely due to this medication. Additionally, it appears this medication is not helping your RLS.
I recommend stopping Requip and trying a beta-blocker instead. This type of medication often has excellent results in my patients.
