Brief Answer:
You probably have inflammation of the upper airways as well!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am so sorry to hear about this allergy that you have reported. I have reviewed your information fully. The same irritation that you observed following the allergy has probably occurred in the air passages. This explains why you have cough. As there is inflammation, the nature of this cough would be very similar to that of a croup as they both represent the same disease process in terms of causing inflammation.

It is my thinking that these drugs: Allegra and Zyrtec would be able to control the allergy and inflammation. If this seems not to be improving, I will suggest that we add steroids for better control. In addition, putting on a mask and avoiding areas with high concentrations of pollen dust in the air would prove helpful as well.

I hope this guides and clarifies your worries. I wish you well. Feel free to keep me updated and request for more information and clarifications if need be.
