I will be looking forward for the answers to conclude the discussion in the best interest of yours.
Thank You
1. I am having brief periods where I do not feel it at all. I love to walk and climb the stairs at work it does not effect the pain any different today. I have had the pain before with alot of stress, and when I do not let stress bother me I am fine. Yesterday I had alot of stress at work and that is when it began.
2. no radiate to arem or jaw. I did occasionally feel the dull pain in my back.
3. I have been treated with medication for high blood pressure for 15 years
4. I am on Valsartan 320mg 1 daily, thyroid med. Levothyroxin 112mcg per day, Singular 1mg per day
5. Family history of diabetes, heart attack my brother had 5 bypass surgery at age 38, strokes my mother died from a stroke at 38 yrs. old
6. Same dull aching kind of tightening discomfort pain in center of chest at all times no matter what I do if I sit or am standing talking it gets better somewhat or stops for a little while.
7. I took an asprin and it feels much better now. I called the cardiologist office they can not see me until 2 wks.
I have had this dull aching tightening discomfort in the center of my chest before during heavy stress at work about 4 years ago I went to have a stress test at the cardiologist office and they said I was okay.
I had not had this much stress in a long time at least a year, but the discomfort did return with the heavy stress.
Should I wait and if the pain gets worse got to the ER or Go as soon as possible any way?
and
most probably muscular pain
Detailed Answer:
hello
thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them. As you previously been cleared for heart problem so there is possibility that pain was muscular in nature. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:
- naproxen thrice a day for 5 days
- take hot water in a rubber bottle and place it at the site of pain. It will give soothing effect.
- take lighter meals.
- avoid lifting heavy weight
- go out for walk/exercise for 30-45mins in the evening. It will keep you fresh.
- get a baseline ECG to rule out heart problem on the safe side.
AVOID:
- fatty/oily food
- heavy meals at night
Hopefully your pain will improve and you can wait till the appointment for cardiologist. IF pain starts again or becomes severe then you need to visit hospital immediately.
Hope i have answered your query. IF you have any followup query then feel free to ask. If not then don't forget to close the discussion & rate it.
Wishing you good health
