Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concerns but don't worry. Low platelets or thrombocytopenia in your child seems to be due to viral infection rather than an adverse effect of polio drops. So, you may go for polio drops in future as per schedule.

Many viral infections can present with fever, body aches, and associated thrombocytopenia. They are self limiting and need just symptomatic treatment. At present, the platelet counts are within normal range and the symptoms will definitely improve within next 2-3 days. You may give acetaminophen or Paracetamol for leg pain. Plenty of oral fluids will help in stomach pain.

Hopefully it will be of help. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.

Thanks for your reply. As per 20th January blood report it was NS1 positive but IgG and IgM negative and SGOT SGPT levels were above 300.. So will this dengue virus infection will have any effect over Polio vaccination.. That is my query..

Hi

Dengue infection doesn't have any effect on polio or other vaccinations. Just ensure a healthy diet, rest and plenty of oral fluids for early recovery.
