What Causes Itching Throughout Body After Taking Vitcofol Injections?

Question: Sir I have been prescribed with vitcofol injections 2ml alternate day 2/week for 7weeks. I have taken 5 injections till now ,since yesterday I had itching sensation all over the body..shall I continue the injection or not? Which medicines are used to get rid of itching....

Hi & Welcome.

I appreciate your concern for the generalized itching which is apparently caused by Injection Vitcofol (Vitamin B12+Folic acid).

Since you have developed allergic reaction to some content of it, so it should be stopped.
You may take Antihistamine like Levocetrizine for the relief from itching.
You can also apply Calamine lotion over the skin.
Please ask your treating doctor for an alternate but a safer oral multivitamin preparations for the low hemoglobin level.
