What Causes Itching Sensation In Fingers, Toes And Palms?

default
Posted on Sat, 11 Oct 2014
Question: I began having itching on my finger, toes, palms and soles with occasional itchiness elsewhere on my body 2 days ago. Also, the skin on my hands and feet and lower legs had a blotchy red appearance. This never happened before. I am allergic to grasses as well as other environmental allergens. I spend most days outdoors working on landscaping, etc. however, the first time it happened I had not been exposed to such things. It is mild and relieved with Benadryl. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Allergy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Since you have history of allergy towards some organic matter, the present reaction could be a allergic reaction to an allergen similar to those mentioned above. It is very difficult task to identify such an allergen.

Do continue Benadryl for two more days. If the symptoms are too severe then you may have to take Levocet 5mg once in the night for three days.

This as I believe is temporary and will subside as soon as you are away from the allergen.

Hope, I answered your query.

wish you good health.

Please do ask if any doubts.
