What Causes Headaches On The Right Side?

default
Posted on Fri, 24 Oct 2014
Question: I've been experiencing headaches on the right side of my head above the ear for about 6 weeks. They come and go intermittently but feel like sharp stabbing pains. I haven't had them every day but in the past two weeks they have increased and are occurring almost daily. They are particularly bad when I stand up after sitting. I've also been sweating a lot and feeling cold and clammy, particularly on my forehead and face. I started taking medication for hypothyroidism about a month ago and already take medication for high blood pressure and depression/anxiety. Any idea what could be causing the headaches and sweating?

Hello,XXXX
Thanks for using HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your question.
There may be one are more reasons of your headache, and sweating.
1.High blood pressure
2.Stress.
3. Side effects of drugs like, wellbutrin and celexa, both can cause headache and sweating as side effects.
Get your blood pressure monitored, get your blood done for thyroid function to see the effect of synthroid , if doses of these have to be readjusted.
Wellbutrin and celexa have been documented to be causing headache as side effect. If they start bothering you more you can consult your physician to alter the drug or the dose.
Mean while drink lot of water, eat healthy food, avoid coffee, aerated drink and alcohol.
Hope you have answer to your query, if any more please post it, or you can close the question by rating it.
