It can be due to high blood pressure or low blood pressure which is usually on occipital region of head.

If heaviness of head or pain is behind forehead or cheek bone it can be sinus pain. In such case an examination with otorhinolaryngologist can rule out that.

If you have head ache increased on reading or looking closely to some object it can be due to change of eye power.In such case power checking and wearing glasses will clear your head ache.

Other head aches like migraine is usually one-sided head ache but it usually wont last one week long. Even tension head ache which is band like squeezing head and cluster head ache which is pain around one eye is most unlikely as those are short lived.
