Brief Answer:
Go for blood and urine tests.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

I have read your query and understand the concern about frequent urination.

It could be related to overactive bladder or asymptomatic urinary tract infection but it will require to evaluate further by complete clinical examination with some relevant tests.

Also,provide me some more information.

Do you feel burning or lower abdominal pain during urination?
have you noticed reddish urine?
What about your water intake? is it increased recently?
Do you have any family history of Diabetes mellitus?

Frequent urination can also be seen in stones (kidney or bladder),acute urethral injury, kidney cyst or rarely tumor in kidney, ureter, bladder etc which also need to be ruled out.

So,I will advise you to go for routine blood and urine routine microscopy examination to rule out any infection.

Further, ultrasound of abdomen or cystoscopy can be planned to rule out bladder stone/tumor/growth if blood and urine tests results are inconclusive.

You will need to see some local physician or urologist for it.

Meanwhile, continue to take cranberry juice and also take liquid citralka 2TSF with water which will further alkalinize the urine and will prevent any urinary irritation.

Brief Answer:
Go for blood and urine tests first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the immediate reply and sharing more information.

In that case,I will keep asymptomatic urinary tract infection as the first possibility which should be ruled out by various tests.

So,I would advise you that you should go for CBC and Urine examination tests as we discussed.

After, ruling out urinary tract infection, ultrasound of KUB region should also be done with full bladder to rule out any other bladder pathology but it should be done only after physician's advice.

But cystoscopy can be planned later on if all above tests remain inconclusive.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip Kabra
