What Causes Fever, Cold, Headache And Cough In A Child?

Question: My daughter[7+ yrs old] having headache and fever [around 100-101] for the last 48 hours and we are giving 5ml FEBREX-250ml to her every 3-4 hours interval, after taking taking medicine the fever subsides and comes again after 3-4 hours. Could you please let me know the reason for same, she is also having cough and cold. We are giving her Eupatorium Perfoliatum mother tincture 3-4 drops is it right to continue this medicine or not? Please advice correct line of treatment as fever is 100-101 every 4hours after taking paracetamol. There are no tonsils but headache, cough and cold is there.

Please reply urgently the correct line of treatment along with the reason for the fever, cold, headache and cough.

this seems to be viral infection. Repitative Low grade of fever is noticed in viral fever.
Though i would suggest you to go for CBC and dengue test to rule out the case.
I am suggesting some medicine and you may start as prescribed
aconite 30 6 pills every 3 hourly.
Belladona 30 6 pills every 3-4 hourly
Eupitorium 30 6 pills twice in a day

Meanwhile for fever you may keep giving febrox or paracetamol.
Keep track on her health and update me tommorrow about her health.
Give her proper rest and khichadi juice and fruiet in diet. Give her plenty of water in regular interval.

Thanks for reply, i have Eupitorium Mother tincture as well as belladona 30 in liquid both not in tablets, please advice the dosage and duration.

How long will it take to completely cure, as the fever is not as high and it gets normal after taking Febrex 250mg[paracetamol]. Is the 5ml for 7yrs old with 21-22kg weight is sufficient or not. Please help urgently.

Repeat belladona and aconite in every 3-4 hourly. Give eupitorium Q 10 drops with half cup of water three times in a day.
Fever may subside within 24 hours. And then change the dose to every 8 hourly.
Continue the medicine for 4-5 days for comlete relief.
You may also give febrex along with the medicine.
5 ml is sufficient for her. Once fever is subside then you may stop the febrex and continue homeopathic medicine if you wish.

There is no fever now, but dry and irritating cough is there, please suggest good medicine to cure immediately for her along with dosage. Is she underweight as 7 and 1/2 old is just 21-22kgs. Please reply urgently with details.

Please look to her tonsile. If tonsile are enlarged then give her phytolacca dec 3x 6 pills twice in a day.
If not then give her
Justicia adh Q 10 drops with half cup of water twive in a day.
Silicea 30 6 pills twice in a day

Take meditcine for 7 days. This will help to rmove out all the cough deposited in her lungs.
She will be alright then.

Is her weight 21-22kgs ok as she is 7.6 yrs old.

Currently baryta carb 30/belladone 30 i am having as other medicines are not available shall i continue with that to get some relief in dry cough or not?

22 Kg is ideal weight for age of 7 to 8 year old girl.
She is healthy.
Baryta carb will act good if she is having enlarged tonsil. Belladona is good for fever But it wil not help much for cough. So its better to get justicia adh Q atleas. Medicine will help to remove all the cough from lung.
You may continue both the medicine untill you are not getting phytolacca and justicia. Then you may stop these medicine.
