Question: Hi,
When woke up in the morning or standing after some rest, u feel pain in my feet, the flat lower part of the feet (specially in the middle)
If keep walking or having day to day jobs then no pain is felt.
The pain in right feet is more than the left feet.
Can you suggest me what these symptoms suggests?

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!
Thanks for posting your query in hcm.
I have gone through your symptoms and they are suggestive of plantar fasciitis. Here, the tissue extending from heel to toes is inflamed. For definite diagnosis, you may need to get a clinical examination from an orthopaedician along with a X ray.
You may try the following methods for relief:-
- You may apply an ice pack for 20 minutes after waking up.
- Avoid walking barefeet, use soft soled good footwear.
- Try avoiding physical activities for a week's time.
- Do calf stretching exercises.
- For the pain, you may take an over the counter anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen 400 mg.
- Physiotherapy will help you as well.
If all these measures don't help, then you need to consult an orthopaedician for steroid injections that will help in reducing the inflammation.
If you have any further doubts/ queries, you may get back to me.
Regards,
Dr. Sonia
