Question: Hello Sir , I am 35 years old female . 10 years back I have undergone surgery of fibroid. Now a days during my period I am having excess bleeding and longer duration,as a result I have undergone whole abdomen sonography , thyroid test , suger test etc. The result of sonography shows that "Subserosal Fibroid(Rt)" That Sir , my doctor (Gyanocologist) prescribed me only "Caltuf Tablet" at night after food for 2 months after observing all the reports . Fibroid size is ( 3.6 x 3 cm) .
I visited another Gynocologist who prescribed me to take "Modus -10/Deviry-10" twice daily for 10 days from day 16 of the period for 3 cycles and also suggested "Tranostat-MF" twice daily for 5 days (if required ) along with "Cycloset" twice daily for 3 months . Sir what medicine should I continue . Please suggest at the earliest.

Brief Answer:
Take Deviry, Tranostat and Cycloset - all 3.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The subserosal fibroid that you have can cause an increase in the uterine bleeding during the periods. Other causes like hormonal imbalance and hyperplastic endometrium can also cause an increase in the bleeding. To control the excessive bleeding that you are having, you should take Deviry and Tranostat-MF as suggested by your gynecologist.
Taking Cycloset- Bromocriptine for 3 months will help in reducing the size of the fibroid and will help in reducing the bleeding in the long term.
You can take it twice daily as suggested by your second gynecologist.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Hello madam , should I take "Caltuf tablet" along with the mentioned medicines ?
and as I mentioned earlier the "Cycloset" is a simple ayurvedic preparation marketed by Alembic Pharmceuticals LTD. instead of Cycloset- Bromocriptine. My rational thyroid test result and sugar test result are normal . Please reply

Brief Answer:
Both are not likely to help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Caltuf contains methylfolate and Vitamin B6 and B12. It is not likely to affect the fibroid or the bleeding.
If you are talking about ayurvedic preparation cycloset then its efficacy is also doubtful. Taking it for 3 months may not have any effect or just a mild effect on your problem. You can avoid taking both these medicines.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.

Brief Answer:
Surgical treatment is preferred.

Detailed Answer:
The medical treatment to decrease the fibroid size is Lupron- GnRH agonist. It is carefully regulated and is associated with many side effects including a decrease in the fertility. It can also cause menopause like symptoms.
It is best to take Deviry and Tranexa-MF for symptomatic relief and in case the bleeding is uncontrollable then consider for surgical treatment like myomectomy.
You can also start with a contraceptive pill like XXXXXXX twice a week for 3 months to decrease the bleeding.

Hello madam at last I have 2 questions left (1.) Whether my periods will be regular or irregular if I take "Deviry-10" tablets ? (2.) Will there be any side affects if I take "Deviry-10" tablets for 3 cycles ? Please answer.

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Deviry-10 taken only for 10 days in a cycle is a safe medicine and will help you in having regular cycles. It will also help in decreasing the amount of bleeding. There can be a mild nausea and headache while taking this medicine but it is not seen in all the cases. You can take it for 3 cycles and see if the symptoms subside.
