Brief Answer:
Stick to healthy diet and get Viral markers done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I saw your reports and they are mostly within normal limits except the mildly raised SGOT and SGPT. That can occur in any kind of liver problems. But the good part is that the Ultrasound is almost normal and so is your Bilirubin.

I think you should avoid most medicines as they will affect your liver adversely. I usually advice my patients with gastric problems to take Pantoprazole or Omeprazole once a day before breakfast for a month. You can try that.

Do not worry about the Fatty liver it is nothing serious. I suggest you stick to a healthy diet with high carbohydrates and avoid high protein stuff. You should stay away from alcohol and any processed or fatty or oily foods. Also you should get your Viral markers done - HBsAg and Anti HCV in view of the raised liver enzymes. I believe you should be fine in a few weeks.

Take care and do let me know the reports and if there are any other queries I will be more than happy to help you.

Brief Answer:
Start Pantoprazole or Omeprazole.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Good that you are HBsAg negative. Please go ahead and get your Anti-HCV test also done. And please avoid any spicy food as I had mentioned in my original answer. You can start the medicine Pantoprazole or Omeprazole at the earliest and that should give you relief. You can increase its dose to twice a day - but empty stomach. If it does not give relief in a weeks time then do let me know.

Take care,
Dr Rishi.
