What Causes Dizziness, Weakness And Watery Stool After Taking Cipro And Flagyl?
Question: After a bout of Cipro and Flagyl I still am having watery stools. Also having dizzy spells and feeling week.

When was the first episode started?
How many times in a day you will have loose stools?
Is there any blood and or mucous can be seen in the stool?
Do you have any associated fever and is it associated with abdominal pain?
When you have finished a course of antibiotics?
If you have recently finished the course you can wait for another few more. Presently I would suggest you to drink plenty of water and electrolyte powder. I would suggest you to use ecobion or sporolac ( probiotic). Take tablet racecadotril 100 mg twice daily for two days.
If it still persist, I would suggest you to go for stool examination alike stool routine and microscopy and culture... dizzy spells and weaknesses might be due to electrolyte imbalance, can be confirmed by serum electrolyte investigation. Along with that kindly take plenty of fluids and electrol powder, which will be helpful in correcting fluids and electrolyte insufficiency. Reduce the intake of dairy products.
Anaemia and hypoglycemia can also present with dizziness and weaknesses, so I would suggest you to get blood sugar and haemoglobin level estimated.
Based on the report, treatment can be decided.
