Brief Answer:
You need evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

In morbid obesity usual a normal cyclic pattern of ovarian stimulation to endometrial lining is disrupted so the normal menstrual cycle pattern is non maintained.

In your case, for past 5 years your are having vaginal bleeding, it needs evaluation.

As the pelvic examination is not really useful in your case.

If I were your treating doctor I would advice you get your complete blood count, thyroid profile, ultrasound pelvis examination, pap smear, endometrial biopsy should be performed to rule out the most common causes of vaginal bleeding like fibroid, endometrial cancer, polyp, infection, adenomyosis, DUB (Dysfunctional uterine bleeding), hormonal imbalance and thyroid disorder. So consult a gynecologist for evaluation.

You should adopt a strict diet regime to maintain your weight.

You should see for your blood pressure and blood sugar as well.

Hope I have answered your query if you have further questions I will be happy to assist you.

Good luck.
Regards

Is there a way to find out what's going on without having an intra vaginal ultrasound. I am not married yet and have not been sexually active therefore I must preserve my purity for marriage as our culture
requires.

Brief Answer:
You can go for trans- abdominal ultrasound.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to hear from you all again.

Please do not worry about your purity, ultrasound pelvis done per abdominally (transabdominally) also, if you are worried do not go for trans- vaginal ultrasound (in which probe insert inside the vagina).

Hope your inquiry is clear now.

Feel free to ask more information.

Good day.
