It seems to be airway congestion which can occur commonly in flue etc. this can easily be treated with OTC medications and remedies in a couple of days by following suggested methods.

1) Steam inhalation twice a day.
2) Take tablet alegra D at night saily if will help with pain and congestion.
3) Take citerizine 10mg daily at night.
4) Valsalva manuever can help open up clogged ears.
5) Steamy shower is of help.
6) Hot drinks do help.

I would suggest you not to panic this does not seem to be adenoids if you dont have severe throat ache and fever. Its simple congestion which can be treated.

Citrizine 10mg is an anti histamin and yes it is OTC.. valsalva is making pressure in your abdomen and sinuses by same process as we use in bearing down... You can see valsalva on youtube or read about it... it helps opening clogged up ears...
