What Causes Cold Intolerance, Mouth Sores, Unexplained Bruising And Swelling In Hands?

default
Posted on Thu, 8 Jan 2015
Question: I have costacondritus, pleurisy, low grade fevers, raynauds, cold intolerance, mouth sores, easy bruising, swelling in hands and feet, red, raised rashes on the knuckles of hands and feet, urine tests show high protein levels, liver enzymes elevated, anemic, a "strangling" feeling around my neck, severe back and joint pain, blurred vision, confusion, swelling and pain in abdomen upon waking up. Paranoia and nervousness, diarrhea AND constipation, skin is very blue and splotchy. I get frequent bladder infections, ear infections, yeast infections, strep throat. And when I get injured (cut, bug bite etc..) it takes months to heal (like 3-4 months) a simple cold will last two months. I would say that the worst part of it all is the pain in my joints or overall bone pain. The Rheumotoligist claims I have Fibro Myalgia but I'm just not buying it. OH.... And I had unexained grand mal seizures about ten years ago?! Never got any answers from that, but I had mono at the time. Any tips please????

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that having gone through your history I also feel there is a possibility of autoimmune disease specially Lupus . It does not look like Fibromyalgia to me.

Please upload all the investigations that have been done so that I can understand your disease better. You can upload on right side of your dashboard. Please also send any autoimmune profile if your doctor has done. After that I will guide you accordingly.

Please also tell if someone in your family anytime suffered from autoimmune disease. And also the medicines you are taking at present.

Take care.

Dr. Shruti
