Brief Answer:
Likely to be the side effect; report to your health care provider.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

The burning sensation is likely to the side effect of the application. The medication can cause pain/itching/burning sensation of the urethra and vagina. It can also cause headache.

If you have not seen any doctor for your condition, please report to your health care provider for further assistance.

The irritation should subside in course of time and if it does not, further treatment is needed. Side effects can be more with higher doses like single dose regime.

Bleeding can occur as a sequel to the infection itself, as breakthrough bleeding due to the associated hormone imbalance or you may be experiencing your natural period.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
