default
Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: Pic 1. Does my infected internal hemmoroids operation (stapled) look successful to you?

Pic 2. I have developed a burning rash on my bum with pus points on hair follicles - water and air cause burning sensations - putting clop gm neo ointment twice a day

Pic 3. I am shitting green and the muscle gripes while passing stool are so painful - i see stars and perspire - my shit gets 'scared' and refuses to pass out completely. I have gently have to dig the last few bits put of the mouth

Pic 4. This 4th pic is to show you the 'normal' bleeding after stapled hemmoroidectomy surgery (took place on feb27)

I take looz laxative 20ml and shit 4 times a day. Because of the skin rash stinging/burning i am unable to do sitz bath. I use shield ointment on the anus.

I am in a lot of pain and discomfort and fear losing my job as it has been over two weeks of absence.

I eat papaya and isabgol.

Brief Answer:
Need internal Examination by a Surgeon and change / start proper medication

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and pictures you have provided.
I can understand the agony you must be going through.

Seen all the pictures and read the history and your queries. The surgery was performed on 27 Feb, that is about 9 th post op day. In a normal circumstance everything must have been controlled.

Pic 1. The color of the hemorrhoids look paler than before and in some cases the hemorrhoidal mass may take time to get shrunk. It is difficult to say whether this is successful or not. There looks to be bad post-operative course.
Pic 2. The rash looks to be secondary to the infection of the internal wound.
Pic 3. Green stool is indicative of an infection which needs to be treated actively. The muscle griping can be due to the inflammation and the narrowing at the stapler line.
Pic 4 . Is this the picture on 28 th Feb or recent one ?

I would advise in such a case the following:
Consult your Surgeon who operated you. He would perform ano-proctoscopy to see the exact condition of the stapler line for any complication.
Get some tests and
Start on an appropriate Antibiotic, Metronidazole, Probiotic cover; may adjust the dose of the laxatives.
This should help you for a proper and early recovery.

I hope this answer helps you. Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries
if you need to or if you feel there is a gap-of-communication.

I would be happy to assist you more.
