What Causes Burning Pain In Chest Area After Having Exercises?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Mar 2015
Question: Good Morning, Dr. Rynne,
My husband for about a week has had a burning sensation in the chest area. He is 75 qnd works out daily. This pain began after he had completed 140 pilates on our pilate machine. I told him we are definitely going to the dr. tomorrow. He has told me when he exercises the pain subsides, but when he is not exercising the pain is increasing. He only goes to the dr. for an annual physical. Now, I am so concerned that it could be the beginning of a heart attack. He has agreed to go see about the pain early in the morning. I was just wondering if I could be a pulled muscle, gallbladder attack, or a heart attack.
Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. I can not sleep because of worry.
Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
Not cardiac or gallbladder related

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Good morning and thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Pain after pillages and reducing with exercise, is possibly skeletal muscle sprain. Muscle relaxant like chlorzaxozone would be helpful.
2. However, the burning pain points towards gastritis. Antacids can be taken.
3. It is not cardiac or gallbladder cause.

Rest and muscle relaxants would be helpful.

Hope it helps.
