What Causes Bumps On Knuckles Of Fingers?

Question: About 2 months ago my knuckles on a few fingers developed a bump and the skin over my knuckles becomes slightly black and blue looking at times throughout the day. My knuckles seem swollen and feel sore when bending and hurt when I tap them on anything.

Yes, my knuckles feel achy and tight (the inflamed knuckles) and if I hit them (even lightly on something inadvertently) they hurt

Sudden onset swelling with discolouration with tenderness indicates inflammation.

As per your history and symptoms there is possibility of inflammatory arthritis or auto immune disease.
You may need to do blood test to confirm diagnosis.
When such patients come to our hospital I advise them blood test like ANA, RA factor, ACCP, ESR, complete blood count, HLA B27, thyroid profile.

Thank you for your reply, my blood Tests came back and according to my doctor, my blood results are better than his! (His words not mine :) ), it showed nothing abnormal, but swelling and bumps are still there, could this possibly be a good allergy? I do have a wheat allergy, I cannot consume it, I own a bakery, and often handle gluten containing items, is it possible that I am becoming more sensitive to gluten and the bumps are caused by my skin coming in contact with it?
