DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for additional information.

1) You did SAFE sex (3 days ago) according to her last period date. Here, chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE or NIL.

2) If you both had come to my clinic, I would have suggested to take TRANEXAMIC ACID (500 mg) twice daily for 2- 3 days to arrest bleeding. Painkiller like Aceclofenac can be taken with antacid (Ranitidine) as required.

Maintain genital hygiene properly. Take adequate rest and avoid sex for at least 2 weeks.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and practice safe sex in future.

Regards,
Dr S Patra

Thanks for your advice doc.

Just had three more query.
1) Why this bleeding if we had safe sex?
2) Do anyone get bleeding after 2-3 days of having sex.
3) Is bleeding a symptom of pregnancy at point any of time.

What I think is, it may be because of excessive friction causing skin damage. But then again a question comes why after 2-3 days.

Please suggest.

Thanks in advance.

Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for additional queries.

1) Blunt trauma or rough sex may cause this type of bleeding despite of safe sex. It is quite common and seen in few percentage women.

2) Internal tissue trauma may be latent and old blood can cause bleeding after 2-3 days. She must maintain genital hygiene during this time.

3) It is NOT a sign of pregnancy at this stage. I suggest her to await for upcoming period. If her period delays more than 1 week, she must undergo one home pregnancy test to clear doubt.

Hope, I have answered your query. If you have any query, you can freely ask me.

All the best and good luck.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
