What Causes Abdominal Skin Sagging Post C-section Delivery?

Question: Hi doctor,

I delivered a baby boy on 27th Feb. it was a c-sec delivery. Inspite of everyone asking me to wear a belly band/wrap, I did not wear it. my belly is really loose now and sagging. will it help using a shapewear/tummy tucker/waist band now to tighten up abdominal muscles?
Are there any disadvantages of wearing it?
for how long should it be worn in a day?
is it advisable to have it on while having meals?

It is common for abdominal skin to sag due to laxity of muscles and loss of elasticity of skin.
It will be tough to regain but can be shaped better by simple measures.
Take a note of the following -
- wear tummy XXXXXXX or waist band for the time when you are sitting or working
- don't wear it while sleeping or eating.
- daily apply moisturizer or cocunut oil and give a light massage
- do abdominal exercises (learn from a trainer) daily in the form of crunches or bicycle which will bring strength in your abdominal muscles and this a better shape.
Try these simple measures and I'm sure you will notice difference within a month's time!
