What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Fever With Diarrhea And Acid Reflux?
Question: I had a stomach bug that began with cramping, aching back, chills and fever. For the past 5 days, ive had diarrea , gurgling stomach, extreme gas and dizzyness. Have been drinking pedialyte and took immodium yesterday. Now, i am having pretty light XXXXXXX pale (solid) stools. Is this something to worry about? Still feeling sick 5 days after! I am a teacher and have had multiple bugs but never this color stool

Hi and welcome to HCM!
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1.You are experiencing diarrhea, fever, stomach bug and light pale stools. These symptoms mostly are related with acute gastroenteritis.
Pale stools are related with fast bowel movement in diarrhea.
Otherwise at your case I would recommend to do :
- abdominal ultrasound to rule out gallbladder issues like sludge
- blood work
2.Meantime I suggest to :
- eat often and small amount of meal
- avoid fatty and sugar foods
- use probiotics
- use PPi's like Prilosec OTC
- use antispastic like (No spa)
- take plenty of water
If the symptoms still persist after a couple of days than you should start antibiotic treatment like Metronidazole and Ciprofloxacine.

If your symptoms persist more than 10 days than you should do fecal culture test and start antibiotic treatment as I mentioned above.
