Question: what would cause you to see a laser like beam from your side vision in the right eye. been doing this for 3 days. only notice this at nite. but my lights are on. also about a week ago my head was real sensitive at the back of the head from one ear to the other. I wear a hard hat at work and this seemed to be right where the inside head band sits.

Brief answer....problem with retina
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Our eyes have a layer called retina at the back of eye which helps in seeing us. This retina responds to the light entering our eyes.
Such types of flashes in the side vision are caused due to problems in the retina, some of which may threaten the vision while others may not cause any problem.
Most common problems which occur are vitreous detachment and retinal detachment.
I would urge you to consult an opthalmologist as early as possible for the diagnosis and proper treatment.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me or any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
