Question: Hi I have a 3 year old daughter.. she does not eat food at all.. we give her a small meals every 3 hours but still she eats only a bit.. can you suggest a healthy diet...

This is one of the most common complaint we face in our practice. The children of this age are really fussy regarding the feed.

That is why encouragement not forceful feed is adviced. The main aim is to attain proper growth of the baby. Check the weight and height of your baby on growth chart. There are so many growth chart and the one constructed by WHO, is recommended. It is available on the internet. If your child is growing well there is no need to worry.

The children of this age prefer to play. Parents have to learn how to feed these children.
Give him frequent small feed.Make the feed calorie dense by adding cheese,oil or butter. If you are non vegetarian give egg(boiled,omelette) and meat to as these are protein and calorie rich food. Give dry fruits with milk.Add supplements to the milk. Try to avoid junk foods.
