Brief Answer:
Hypothyroidism - needs treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting the question.

Problems in your lab tests

1. Hypothyroidism - high TSH
2. High triglycerides
3. Pre diabetes - HbA1C >5.7
4. Mild anemia

Only condition that needs treatment and can relieve your symptoms is hypothyroidism - under active thyroid. The treatment of this is thyroid hormone replacement (thyroxine tablets). Please consult your physician for prescription.

Follow good diet and exercise - which will bring down your high triglycerides, borderline elevated blood glucose and borderline anemia. You can recheck these parameters after 3 months.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

With warm regards,
Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM)

Brief Answer:
It is better to conceive once thyroid function is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome back.

It is better to conceive after thyroid function is normal. Once you are started on thyroid hormones, you can recheck the TSH after 6 weeks. If TSH is less than 2.5 miu/ml, you can think about pregnancy.

If your menstrual cycles are regular, your thyroid function won't affect your chance to get pregnant. But the chance of miscarriage is more when TSH is above 2.5.
