Brief Answer:
symptoms are need to be assessed .

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX
I can understand your concern .
I would like to inform you that for the diagnosis of urinary tract infection that is uti , it's not only the laboratory reports but the symptoms that are more important .
Your urine analysis report is almost normal except it's ph of 5 on lower side of normal and moderate leucocyte esterase activities . But there is no blood or pus cells or protein in urine.
If you have features suggestive of uti such as burning or pain during urination , feeling of heaviness or pain in lower stomach area and most importantly increased frequency of urination etc.,then it's more suggestive of urinary tract infection .
Some times urine analysis may be absolutely normal as in your case but you may have uti and your doctor may give you antibiotics .
Normal urine analysis has many causes such as prior antibiotics treatment for any other illness or improperly collected urine sample . Early morning , mid stream sample is best for urine analysis .
Look in to all these and discuss about your problems with your physician . He will assess your symptoms not only your reports .If needed he can order urine culture which will grow pathogens if any in urine.
Hope this will help you . If you have any other concerns please feel free to message me . Thanks for contacting HCM .

My only symptom was pelvic pressure which could be pms. I did an at home uti test which was positive for uti so I went to hospital. My urine was not cloudy, I did not have burning or urgency.
Why is ph low?

Brief Answer:
low urinary pH is suggestive of UTI

Detailed Answer:
Dear ,
I can understand your concern .
If you don't have any symptoms suggestive of UTI then there is no need to worry . Only pelvic pressure may be because of PMS (PreMenstrual Syndrome). For that you can consult your gynaecologist . As this may be because of some infection in pelvic region also.

For your low pH in urine test, it's within normal range but on lower side of normal. That is normal, if you don't have any other associated finding suggestive of UTI. low urinary ph is suggestive of UTI but not in isolation .
In my opinion if you don't have any symptoms suggestive of UTI then there is no need to worry.
Home urine analysis kit has very high false positive rate .
Hope this will help you .
If you have any other concerns please feel free to message me . Thanks for contacting HCM .
