Brief Answer:
I agree with doctor about neurosyphilis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is too early to talk about Neurosyphilis.
YOur new leg pain is due to something else which needs fresh investigation.
YOu may want to see a primary care physician for this.
Check for nutritional deficiency, Vitamin B, Calcium, Iron.
You should not worry about HIV or complications of syphilis and Pencillin is very effective for syphilis.

Brief Answer:
Dermatology opinion

Detailed Answer:
hi,

while gait can be observed and then commented, the pain left leg can be due to several other reasons apart from Neuro syphilis.
i suggest to take an Dermatology opinion as rash is important starting point for a good diagnosis. the features of such rash are part of neurosyphilis but it cannot be so fast developing.

Brief Answer:
CSF - VDRL or CSF WBC count indicate Neurosyphilis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Generally CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) is taken to diagnose Neurosyphilis. Did your doctor order CSF analysis. Treponemal Antibody test in the CSF shall rule out Neurosyphilis.
We generally get the CSF only after one year after latent syphilis to check for Neurosyphilis.
