What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Hairy Leukoplakia?

Question: Please help me, im dealing with great deal of anxiety.
Please check pics and tell me if ifs hairy leukoplakia.
I heard its a sign of hiv and im freaked out.
I had a possible exposure last year but ever since had 8 hiv tests, all negative.
Last one was 8 months after exposure.
Please help me.

I have looked at your pictures carefully. This is absolutely not hairy leukoplakia. This is simply poor oral hygiene. A negative HIV test 8 months after possible exposure is >90% accurate for not having HIV. You are safe!

Thank you for your answer dr,
It was such a relief and i will certainly contact you dorectly from now on.
How about those patches inside my cheek, what are they then and thise very tiny whitesh thinfs longside my tongue?
Never had that white thing on my cheek before.
You said hiv test after 8 months is >90 so it means not 99.9999 percent.
Can i be infected with the virus?
I have dry mouth too

I would get a final HIV test one year after exposure. If it is negative, you do not have HIV.

Those white patches are accumulations of bacteria which can be improved with better oral hygiene.

It is highly unlikely you have HIV.

I took all those hiv tests in london and in NHS funded clinics including 3 DUO tests that looks for both antigens and antibody. All clear and negative.
Do i still have to go and do another test at one year?
