Brief Answer:
First confirm pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing the forum,
I understand your issue and your problem.
I will first inform you about your chances of having a pregnancy and then about the options.
Her last menstrual period was on 12 February and the day of sexual episode was 23rd February that is day 11 of the cycle. For a female with regular 30 days cycle, this is just the beginning of the fertile period. So the chances that she was ovulating at that time and pregnancy are low. Also if you are sure you did not ejaculate inside the chances are lower still.
Another issue is that if she has 30 days periods, as February has 28 days the periods may come two days late in March.
Now regarding abortificient medicines. All abortificient medicines are associated with some side effects and must be taken strictly under medical supervision. A confirmation of pregnancy is a must. A gynec examination to rule out that the pregnancy is indeed inside the
uterus and not elsewhere [ like in the tubes or ovaries, ectopic pregnancy] is very important as is abortificients are taken by such women the results are catastrophic.
Now about
Mensovit plus: This is not an approved drug by FDA for
abortion. Even the contents of the tablet are not listed. In my experience, such drugs do not provide any help and may produce adverse effects that we may never anticipate. So such drugs are better avoided.
Having said all this I would suggest that you wait for upto 7 days after her missed period that is till March 21. Please do not assume that she may be pregnant as the chances that she may not be pregnant are higher. If there are no periods even after 7-10 days, get a urine pregnancy test done using the first morning sample of urine. A
blood test for pregnancy will come positive now, but is more expensive and you will need to visit a pathology if you want to get it done. I
f the test is positive, you must visit a gynecologist doctor in some other area and explain the situation. Abortificient drugs can be taken upto 49 days of pregnancy counting from February 12. Please do not go to any local unskilled person as complications may occur that you may not be able to handle. You will be safe with a gynecologist skilled in her job.
For your future, I suggest that if an unexpected episode occurs in future, it is wise to use emergency
contraception like
I pill or
Plan B to avoid such situations. Also use of condoms if sexual contact is regular as it also prevents against infections.
Please do not worry as the chances are low. Just wait for a few days and ask her not to get stressed as stress delays periods.
I am always here to help if needed.
Hope I was able to provide an answer.
Thanks and feel free to ask any more queries.
Have a good day.
