Brief Answer:
Need to see a Gynecologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

Congratulations. As your wife has conceived recently, it is better to see a Gynecologist first to start maintaining records of pregnancy, growth of fetus and health of the mother.

The Gynecologist will suggest you investigations required like Complete Blood count, LFT, RFT, HBsAg, HIV1&2, Widal test, Fasting and Post prandial blood sugar tests. Along with these three USG scans of the abdomen are usually advised in the whole pregnancy but if required would suggest more. The Doctor will also prescribe two doses Tetanus injections one in the 4 month and the other in the 5 month. Any other vaccinations required would be advised accordingly.

Regarding sex during pregnancy. It is usually advised to avoid sex during the first three months and the last three months. That is from 1st to 3rd month and 7th to 9th month. Second trimester that is 4th to 6th month is considered comparatively a safer period for sex but make sure to have the positions right and no pressure on the abdomen.

Hope this answers your query. If any further clarifications will be happy to help you.

Regards.
